The 2023 AMVCA (African Movie Viewers Choice Award) that held on the Saturday the 20th of may was the 9th Edition of the annual award ceremony. the illustrious event took place at Eko hotels in Lagos state, Nigeria IK Osakioduwa and former Miss Universe, Zozibini Tunzi were the hosts off the star studded event. some of the biggest winners from the night include; best dressed male; Enioluwa Adeoluwa best dressed female; Beauty Tukura (Ex BBNaija housemate) best overall movie Africa; Anikulapo by Kunle Afolayan. Best Actor in a Comedy; (Movie/TV Series) Samuel Perry (Broda Shaggi) Best Actress in a Comedy – (Movie/TV Series) Bimbo Ademoye in Selina the afore mentioned Anikulapo by kunle afolayan ended the night with a record breaking total of 16 nominations. that being said, what about the looks to the event? what can be said about that? as much as the purpose of the event is to celebrate African talent and excellence in Film production. it is also an opportunity for attendees to show off their fashion prowess.
