2024 Grammy Award Nominations

The 66th Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 4, 2024, at the crypto.com arena in Los Angeles

promises to be a groundbreaking event with the introduction of three new categories.

Among them, the “Best African Music Performance” category stands out

showcasing the rich diversity and talent emerging from the continent.

Leading the pack of nominations is the Afro-fusion maestro, Burna Boy

who has secured multiple nods for his outstanding contributions to the music industry.

His track “Sitting UnTop of the World,” featuring 21 Savage is vying for the “Best Melodic Rap” award.

while his album “I Told Them” is in contention for “Best Global Album.”

Additionally, Burna Boy’s solo efforts, “Alone” and “City Boy”

have earned him nominations for “Best Global Music Performance” and “Best African Music Performance,” respectively.

Breaking records and making history is Ayra Starr

the youngest and first Nigerian female artist nominated for the Grammy Awards.

Her viral single “Rush” has earned her a well-deserved spot in the “Best African Music Performance” category

marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career.

The YBNL duo, Asake and Olamide, have also made their mark with the infectious “Amapiano”

securing a nomination in the fiercely competitive “Best African Music Performance” category.

Notably, Davido has expressed his elation on social media as he receives his debut Grammy nominations.

His hit single “Feel” has earned him a spot in the “Best Global Music Performance” category

while his album “Timeless” contends for “Best Global Music Album.”

Furthermore, Davido’s collaboration with Musa Keys on “Unavailable”
