For the purpose all things growth and personal development, here are 17 things we feel one should do more often for a better and peaceful life. Drink More Water, eat more vegetables (salads are the best) – this helps you stay skin tone fresh, gives energy,Fibre and aids circulation in the body. need i say more? By the way salads are tasty, SO WHY NOT! and if you smoke, you’ll definitely be needing this WATER & VEGE therapy a whole lot more. ( research shows water and salads keep your skin looking fresh) Eat well Eat Good, stay healthy,Exercise more Talk less, listen more – less words more action – because people are attracted to people who say something and do it, not just talk talk talk of their amazing ideas all day Spend  quality time with family and friends, making memories cuz truly and honestly life is short Live life with a purpose, have an outlined objective and goals, working tirelessly to achieve them, cuz if there is no purpose then there is no life More meaningful engagement less Non-meaningful engagement – your getting old time waits for no one Use least 8-10 hours of each day to build toward your goals or something your developing. Forgive and try your best to forget, even though we know forgiving is easy but forgetting is so F’íng hard.just let the past go so we can look at the future. Try your best to avoid cheap gossip and always wish people well and stay supportive of people you fuck with, totally avoiding people you dont F with, but still wishing them well. identify things, people, situations in your life that cause you problems and work tirelessly to eliminate such situations Travel more often-travel travel travel the world, especially when you can – one can never overemphasise how important Traveling is – traveling expands your horizons, empowers you to believe in yourself and take on new challenges, an example of this was my first trip to Lagos Nigeria for fashion week, the energy i felt been there and meeting people inspired me to create this brand EKPO Be open, don’t judge others, be eager to learn rather than disregard things you dont understand or are new too after all,we are different beings Read more often- truly no knowledge is lost. research and read things that you are most passionate about, that way reading gets really fun. you mustn’t read a mighty novel,a fun magazine or brief research will do – you gotta grow that vocabulary after all take more risks, be more adventurous – cuz life begins at the end of your comfort zone You like, feel, admire or cant get enough of someone or something then speak up, greet the person or simply say Hi.never be afraid to say how you feel #SPEAKUP or youll forever be crying in your shell live your youthful age properly by: investing in yourself so that years ahead you wouldn’t have used your whole time developing another persons idea when you could’ve done that for yourself Believe in something. Christian Muslim traditional worshiper or whatsoever, truth is theres a superior force guiding and looking over our life and you just gotta believe. the earlier you try your best to get closer to God, i can bet you,you start achieving your goals faster. LASTLY LIVE AND LET LIVE

TOP FASHION TRENDS FOR 2018

That Time of the year is here again ,leaving behind some trends  (that we’re grateful for) and ushering in a new wave for us to step up our style game. As the fashion grows there’s a constant rotation of trend from bygones eras or creation of new ones .With 2018 already moving fast ,let’s a look at some of the trends and accessories that would soon be flooding the Nigerian streetwear Scene      ___________________________________________ Written By Philip Ihechu For Streetrepublicblog BERETS: A military staple and an iconic French headgear, the beret is coming back 2018. The preferred head gear for great artists like Pablo Picasso ,Charles Blackman and Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara ,the beret comes in a wide range of colors and can be worn with any military inspired or casual outfit. SIDE BAGS: The sidebag makes a return in 2018. Favored more for its function than style , the side bags would continue freeing up our pockets and complimenting our outfits. CHUNKY SNEAKERS: With the Balenciaga Triple S sneakers leading the wave in this trend along with other brands such as Raf Simmons ozweegos and Fila disruptors. The chunky sneakers will continue to to show up its ugly head come 2018 and get us scrambling to get our hands on those Skechers we never wanted to touch. DIY FASHION: 2018 would see more DIY streetwear. With many using fashion as a way to express themselves and showcase their creativity and fashion’s focus on streetwear more pronounced than ever, expect to see more DIY outfits. MATRIX SHADES: If 2017 was the year of the curt corbain shades then 2018 is the year the matrix shades. Inspired by the eyewear worn by Morpheus , Agent smith and Trinity of the Matrix trilogy,  these shades stands out with its bold angles and futuristic designs and will no doubt be an instant hit. EKPO X AKE 2.0

PHOTOGRPAHED BY ROYAN WEARING PIECES FROM AKE We decided to do a series of journals tailored visually after the elements while also conveying messages of our reality and resulting contradictions. The journal on earth was supposed to pronounce the reliance of the human race on the earth element with it being the root of our creation and accounting for everything solid within around us and also being our final resting place. For us Africans, it goes a little bit deeper; land symoolizes a connection within ourselves and to our ancestors and also has the more general economic implications. You’re reading this because we’ve moved past visually compelling photos and would like to put up a piece that actually addresses our reality.  The elements are supposed to be the primal requirements for the sustenance of human life. Air, Water, Earth and Fire, the only truly essential human needs which are free. The reality the human race created is a competition of who can collect the most land or burn the most wood or harvest the most fish or oil to secure the biggest heap of a fifth element only important to us, money. We adulterate everything free that nature or God if you’re a believer gave us for an elusive and fleeting idea we created at the expense of our environment and health and indeed other life forms we share this planet with. The fish in the sea don’t care about how many billions of oil money your country gets from the shell, and before I create the idea that only big multinationals do damage, I’ll tell you to recycle, don’t destroy the environment…. Don’t destroy humanity, to all the perpetrators of the on-going slave trade in Libya and every other abuser of human rights everywhere.
