The 2023 MET GALA took place last night

at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET)

the annual venue for the event.

prior to the MET, a comic tweet went out

beckoning attendees not to show up as

the late designer being honored, (Karl Lagerfeld)

or his famous canine companion, Choupette.

(Who was unable to attend the event last minute)

but it appears as though the stars did not get the memo

with the likes of Jared Leto and Doja cat showing up

in complete Choupette costumes.

The theme of this year’s MET gala was

“Karl Lagerfeld; a line of beauty”

with the dress code being

“in honor of Karl”.

the late designer was the first polymath in fashion.

he held the helms at major fashion houses

namely Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, Chloe and his name sake brand

to name a few.

the celebrities accompanied by their designers

invited to this prestigious event

are tasked with interpreting the theme on the red carpet

the best way they know how.
